Haha! I'm very conscious it's taking an awfully long time to publish this series, and I did wonder whether people might just pull up the results in the meantime 😊 There'll be 6 parts in total. The fifth is in progress, the sixth I've not started writing yet - but that's the post I'm most keen to get to. Honestly, that CP4-CP5 leg was one of the most confusing and unnerving race experiences to-date, and I'm most curious to see how the reflection and write-up pans out.
I was in two minds about whether to include it. I didn't want to give the impression that being so blasé, so downright careless in preparing for races like this is something to be celebrated... but equally I felt I couldn't very well ignore it, since my lack of kit plays an (im)material role throughout the race. Besides which, it is genuinely funny 😅
Can't wait to find out if you actually packed it in at CP3
Okay - just seen you made it to CP5- amazing

A really good read, Adrian! 👏🏾👏🏾
I laughed loads; gasped a lot; uttered Omg countless times - really well written, and evocative Adrian
Walking at 9km per hour - 6 think I should aspire to that
I think I should aspire to that
Hilarious you were looking at the wrong weather forecast Adrian 😂
